چکیده

Traditional methods for creating dynamic objects and characters from static drawings involve careful tweaking of animation curves and/or simulation parameters. Sprite sheets offer a more drawing-centric solution, but they do not encode timing information or the logic that determines how objects should transition between poses and cannot generalize outside the given drawings. We present an approach for creating dynamic sprites that leverages sprite sheets while addressing these limitations. In our system, artists create a drawing, deform it to specify a small number of example poses, and indicate which poses can be interpolated. To make the object move, we design a procedural simulation to navigate the pose manifold in response to external or user-controlled forces. Powerful artistic control is achieved by allowing the artist to specify both the pose manifold and how it is navigated, while physics is leveraged to provide timing and generality. We used our method to create sprites with a range of different dynamic properties. CR Categories: I.3.4 [Computer Graphics]: Graphics Utilities—Graphics Editors

A standard Interactive Multimedia eBook Generator Engine for e-Learning Process

Introduction: Using standard authoring tools is essential to promote E-Learning in teaching-learning process. Learning content in medical sciences often consists of multimedia elements. On the other hand, it is frequently required to revise and update the medical content. Hence, access to the authoring tools that can encompass multimedia elements and allow easy content revision is helpful in e-...

Modelling and Rendering of Realistic Waterfall Scenes with Dynamic Texture Sprites1.dvi

We propose an efficient approach for authoring dynamic and realistic waterfall scenes based on acquired video sequence. Traditional video based techniques generate new images by synthesizing 2D samples, i.e., texture sprites chosen from video sequence. However, they are limited to one fixed viewpoint and cannot provide arbitrary walkthrough into 3D scenes. Our approach extends this scheme by sy...

Skin: an interactive hyperstereoscopic electro installation

It is the uniqueness of Virtual Reality as a medium that calls for the creation of hybrid realities which blur the finite boundaries between physical and digital existence. Virtual Reality’s distinguishing features as an artistic medium embody a distinct form of aesthetics: it is a stereoscopic, immersive, interactive, performative, dynamic, and experiential medium. A Virtual Reality art piece ...

Artistic Multiprojection Rendering

In composing hand-drawn images of 3D scenes, artists often alter the projection for each object in the scene independently, thereby generating multiprojection images. We present a tool for creating such multiprojection images and animations, consisting of two parts: a multiprojection rendering algorithm and an interactive interface for attaching local cameras to the scene geometry. We describe ...
